limited job postings for temporary and permanent office support. The site is
updated weekly, and also provides a form to post resumes. Useful information is
available on job searching, resume, and interview techniques. A salary guide for
this level of employment is also included.
This professional association promotes professional standards for this new field while also supporting its paid members through alliances and other cooperative agreements. "A Virtual Assistant (VA) is an independent entrepreneur providing administrative, creative and/or technical services. ....I'm not thrilled with the interface and I'm not sure he is updated the specific listings, but I love the links to and listings of start-ups across the country. You cannot search the site and there are no dates showing when listings were added, so I suggest reviewing the list by location (states plus DC) and the selecting the job/employer that interests you. All listings take you back to the employer's website to view the job details and submit your application. Really covers the spectrum in terms of types of jobs as well as level of employment.
"StartUpHire is the job search engine dedicated to recruiting exceptional talent to venture capital backed companies." Based in Vienna, VA, StartUpHire is working to match employees with experience in start-up operations (or a strong desire to work in that environment) with the new organizations. The many positions listed here cover the full spectrum of industries and jobs. While you will see postings which have been online for more than a few months, StartUpHire does contact employers every 30 days to confirm that a posted job is still open. You can browse the listings by company name, investor name, industry, state, and a selected list of metropolitan areas. You can use the simple search (keyword and distance) or use the Advanced Search to search select fields of the listing (job title, description, etc.) or features like industry, stage (meaning how far are they into creating a real product), dollars raised, number of employees, and VC investor. Each announcement includes who is providing the funding, and your applications are submitted directly to the employer, not to StartUpHire.
