Disclaimers

The Riley Guide is the product of one person, Margaret F. Dikel ("the author"), a.k.a. Margaret Riley Dikel. Copyright for all materials in the guide is held by Margaret F. Dikel except where noted otherwise. Requests for permission to reproduce or quote information from The Riley Guide should be sent to the address below.

Some articles in The Riley Guide are copyrighted by authors other than Margaret F. Dikel or may be copyrighted by more than one author. In this case, permission to reproduce or quote information must be obtained from the appropriate copyright holder, or from all authors in the case of multiple authors.

No one pays a fee for a listing in the Riley Guide with the exception of our sponsors, Wall Street Journal Online CareerJournal and Indeed. No sponsor has influence over the content of The Riley Guide and the selection of sites listed within. Unless indicated otherwise, only the links in the left sidebar of each page are counted by our sponsors in our agreements.

The Riley Guide site is very selective in its choice of sponsors, partners, and advertisers. Sites that are listed in the guide are included based on the criteria outlined under How We Select a Site for Listing.

Anyone who wishes to link to the Riley Guide is granted permission to do so, but the author will not pay for inclusion in any other site nor grant requests for reciprocal links.

Opinions and content found in the Riley Guide are the sole property and responsibility of the author.

Opinions and content found on sites to which the Riley Guide links are the property and responsibility of those sites. While we may not agree with everything said on a site to which we link, we may decide to include a site if it contains useful information and resources as long as it does not also contain content considered insulting nor degrading to any particular individual or population and does not incite harmful actions towards any person or group of persons.

Please notify us of any sites you find to be derogatory and tell us what bothers you. We will review the site and make a final decision on whether or not to include it. We work to avoid sites that are derogatory or insulting and we will consider removing sites which are insulting to people. However, we must also respect the right of those authors to express their own opinions as long as they are not defamatory and do not incite violence. You the user always have the right to avoid any site on the Internet, including this one, and to notify the author of your opinion.

The author does not run background checks on any of the sites listed nor purchases their products in order to test them. If you elect to do business with any site in the guide, exchanging money for a service or product, you do so at your own risk. The author does not assume any risk nor responsibility for your decision.

If you have problems with a site listed in the Riley Guide, please let us know! We will consider removing the listing and replacing it with a warning for others provided that the problem is truly an indication of bad intentions on the part of the vendor. The author will also be happy to contact the vendor in an effort to help resolve your problem as long as this assistance does not put her in a position of liability. We also encourage you to report fraud to the appropriate authorities.

The author is a self-employed private consultant and derives her income from this and other contract work. The author has short-term contracts with individual organizations along with publishing contracts with McGraw-Hill and the National Career Development Association.

The author does not participate in any Advisory Boards related to job and resume sites. To her knowledge, the author does not have any ownership, options or stock in any job or resume site. If she does, it is through a mutual fund and the decision to include that particular stock was made by the mutual fund manager as a part of the total investment package and not by request of the author.

Questions and comments about The Riley Guide can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to the address listed under Introduction to the Guide.

Thank you for your attention, and for visiting.
