Many of the major online job banks also carry international job postings. In addition, we have information on Living & Working Overseas, Networking Tips and Pointers, Interviewing Advice, and International Business Resources
- Antal International
- ..."a network of over 50 fully-staffed offices in 24 countries, recruiting talent in a range of industry sectors & skill functions. Since inception in 1993 Antal has placed executives in over 75 countries and offers clients a choice of recruitment & staffing solutions from Retained Executive Search, Search & Selection to Contingent Recruitment in
Permanent, Interim & Contract / Temporary staffing." Visitors can easily search their database of jobs and forward resumes/CVs to the listed consultant via email without registering. If you do not see something that matches your qualifications, you can register and submit a resume for future consideration. At the time of review we saw numerous postings from all around the world in a number of industries and job areas.
- ART: Atlantic Research Technologies
- ..."Worldwide executive search firm for upper
and middle management and staff: high-tech, industrial and service
sectors." Please note that even though they are a world-wide
recruitment firm, they will only accept American or Canadian style
resumes in English. They do have information for you to follow in
converting your resume to this style. A sample of the jobs they are
working to fill is available.
- Avotek Headhunters International Site
- ...a service of Avotek, this site includes information on the many books they publish on the International job search,
but they also provide links to international job banks, recruiters, and other sources.
- CareerJet
- ...an international employment search engine. You can search by keywords and location or browse the jobs by industry or location. They also offer subsets of the mega database by country (oooh, Malta!). Select the CareerJet Worldwide tab to view the list of countries and target your search a bit more effectively.
- Employerjobs.com
- ...UK-based website with numerous job listings. They do have job listings from many other countries besides the UK, and you can find them quickly by merely doing a keyword search on the country of your choice. Jobseekers are not required by are strongly encouraged to create an account, upload a CV, and set up search alerts, all of which are free
services. However, applications are made directly to the employers or agents posting jobs on this site, so storing your CV here is more for exposure than application ease. You also have the *option* of posting a public "Employ Me Now" advertisement which will appear on the front page of the site, but only registered employers have access to your CV.
- Eurojobs.com
- ..."pan-European job site." Any visitor can search the jobs and review
the listings, but you must register in order to apply for positions found
listed here. I personally prefer the "Jobs by Country" feature, because as
you pull up each country you will see how many jobs in that country are listed
(if any) and in what fields.
- Goinglobal.com
- Going Global is designed to support international job seekers and professionals
with a great array of original country-specific career information. This site's content
and links provide users with a comprehensive tool kit
for evaluating, selecting and transitioning into a successful career in a
foreign country, including resume/CV writing
advice, job sources, work permit and visa regulations, cultural advice on
more than 40 countries. Based on Mary Anne Thompson's book The Global
Resume and CV Guide, this is a treasure-trove of not only where to
look but how to look for new opportunities in various countries. Mary Anne is
an expert in this field, and the material in the database and in the book is original
country content that is being hand gathered, monitored and updated by
in-country professional researchers. Some of the content is provided
directly on this and other partner sites for free. The majority of the content
however is in a PDF format and available for purchase and download for a
very reasonable fee.
Most of the country guides are over 70 pages long and are filled with excellent articles and
information resource lists. If you are serious about your international job
search, then the guides are worth the investment.
- iAgora.com
- ...clearinghouse of internships, jobs, study, and housing opportunities for recent
college grads seeking opportuniites internationally.
Most listings are in Europe. Membership is free but is not required
to see the iWork job listings, but some are "anonymized" so only

any listings found here, and if you decide you want to be a paying
member, the fee is low.
- iHipo.com
- ...based in Singapore, "iHipo stands for international High Potential network. iHipo is a social network that connects students and young professionals with international employers. It serves as a platform for peer-to-peer communication and recruiting." Very nice selection of international jobs and internships here. You can search the jobs without
registering, but to apply you must register (free). iHipo targets college and university graduates, and you must provide the name of your school at the time of registration. It then asks you to please fill in a complete profile so employers can find you. Any false profiles will be removed as this site wants to maintain a high level of professionalism. US
students seeking employment abroad must note that many of these jobs require proficiency in languages other than English plus the appropriate work visas.
- International Herald Tribune
- ...news and information from all over the world. Scroll to the bottom of the front page
to find the link to the Classifieds.

are accessible non-subscribers online, including the “hot jobs” that employers are urgently
seeking to fill. You can also register to get these via email.

- This guide includes articles on the realities of this search, lists of resources by location, places to look for long-term and short-term opportunities, and the rules for the search (no, they are not the same everywhere). Absolutely wonderful!
- InternationalStudent.com
- ...offers a one-stop shop for any service a student wishing to study abroad
could need, including job listings. I only noticed US jobs in the job search
database (plus 9 listings from Ontario) but they did offer suggestions for searching
for work in other countries. Nice info for students on loans, colleges that are
willing to help fund foreign students, insurance needs, etc.
- JobPilot
- ...international job market with offices in several countries plus the US.
Services through their web site include job listings (search by keyword
or country and discipline and limit it to the most recent or all), a resume
database, company listings, and an email service. Resume posting and
email service require registration for the Premium Service, but this is
free. JobPilot was sold to Monster by Adecco in April 2004, so I am watching
for the inevitable changes that come with any Monster acquisition.
- JobShark
- ...this international career site has entered new waters along with new partners
ElSition and MaST Americas to expand into Central and South America. These
are additions to their previous offering for Canada, Ireland, and the UK. Countries
represented at this time are Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, and Mexico.

country you wish to work in from the pull down menu or click on the country on the map
of Europe.

- ...resources and opportunities for persons wishing to teach outside of the US. Some positions are volunteer, but everything that I'm seeing is paid. Also, most of the postings are for ESL / EFL teachers but this site is not limited to this subject field. - Office and administrative jobs in Ireland. "Our aim is to provide the best admin jobs, office jobs, HR jobs and temp jobs in Dublin, Cork, Galway and across Ireland from all employers and recruitment agencies in Ireland." - EirJobs.com

all the Recruitment Agencies. Registration is not required to view listings nor

and I don't see anything "under the table" (as we say in the US). You can scan the many
categories (I personally like the "Irish Pub Abroad" and "Crazy / Random Jobs" areas), or
search by keyword. According to their FAQ, all jobs listed expire after 14 days, unless an
employer has confirmed that the openings still exist. If you are really interested in the
hospitality industry, they offer special rates to bars, pubs, and hotels to attract a lot of

search.. Submitting your CV or resume to this agency is a simple process.

along with other topics of interest to international job seekers.
- Professionals.ie
- ...job site for IT professionals in Ireland. When you search, you must include at least one keyword describing your skills or qualifications, but I found several very good listings here. Jobs are only posted for 10 days, so this site is very current. (That information is not on the site but it was included in the email I received from the site developers.) You do not need to register to search and apply for jobs listed here.
- RealJobs.ie
- ..."where every job is a real job." They do not permit recruiters to post here, so all
jobs lead you directly to the employer. Nice feature -- you can see lists of all
job categories, employers, and locations on the front page along with the number
of listings in each category. Registration is not required to search the database
and many listings include the employer's contact information, but some listings
are "confidential" which means the only way you will be able to apply for these positions is
by registering and using their "apply now" feature. Please note that if you opt to
post your resume here it will not be deleted unless you either delete it yourself
or ask them to delete it for you.

- 1Job
- ...a job-search engine for the UK and Ireland, so they are polling other sites to
collect the listing information and sending you to the original site to read the
full listing and submit your resume/CV. While I am not a big fan of these types of

search by region and job category. I particularly like the ability to select a
country and then browse just a few counties or regions.
- Accountant Careers

field or industry can be reviewed by skill set, county, or alphabetically by name.

- Careerjet.co.uk
- ..."an employment search engine for the UK. It allows you to search a growing selection of jobsites in one go saving you the trouble of having to go to each site individually". It is nicer than many other meta-job-search engines that I have seen. I do like the lists of Job Offers by Industry and By Function and the Company Directory on the front page.
- Careers-Jobs.eu
- ...nice looking site with employment listings for the UK. Any user can review the full job announcements without registering, but you will need to register and create an account in order to apply for jobs located here (free, of course). One thing I liked here -- in this day of scamming the job seekers, this site has placed a warning at the bottom of all online listings reminding you that no employer should ever request your bank account information, and they provide an email address for you to alert them if you have any problems. Nice guys! They also have some very good career advice, so check out those articles.

- ClickAJob
- ...meta-search engine that covers over 70 boards at one time. Again, I'm not necessarily a fan of these things, but they do have a place in our world. Like I said, these sites are not
my favorites, but I do think they find some pretty cool stuff (hey, the Royal New Zealand Navy is recruiting for experienced officers....)

You do not need to register in order to use this site, not even to apply for jobs listed here.

The Career Center is not quite up to par and tends to draw on US resources (like the sample
resumes), so I'm not sure how helpful it can be at this time.
- Euphony Human Resources
- ...recruiting to fill open positions in India, primarily in IT or IT-related areas.
There are a few other listings for administration and HR. My concern with this

your resume.

- JobStreet.com Singapore
- Nice site with nice opportunities for Singapore. Select the "Jobs" tab

the Philippines. My biggest complaint is you must register your resume
in order to apply for any listings found here. U.S. job seekers will
notice that a lot of personal information is required, including date of
birth, marital status, and gender. You also need an identity number,
which I imagine is proof of your eligibility to work in Singapore.
